Whether you're a Fresher or a Third Year we're all looking for new places to eat, drink and stumble out of, so here at ShuStyle we're going to give you the run down of our favourite places in Steel City.
First up is every cupcake lovers' favourite: Fancie.
Even from first year I've always loved Fancie, their cupcakes are divine and the way that everything is present is just adorable. Have you seen the tiny milkbottles they give with your tea? Also, if you have a chance make sure you try their breakfasts the best way to cure a hangover, or even just when you're craving a good Full English. They also do dinner and cocktails, which they often have "2 for" offers on so keep your eye out for those!
Mudcrab is somewhere that I could just eat and drink at for days! I'm obsessed, anytime a friend comes to visit or it's a special occasion I have to go there. Plus, from Sunday to Thursday we are blessed with 20% Student Discount which is pretty good, plus they have Happy Hour on their amazing cocktails every day from 5pm-7pm, and you don't want to miss that. I really recommend the Duck and Hoisin Pizza, sounds a bit weird but trust me it's delicious, I don't have a picture of it though as I gobbled it down too fast. My favourite cocktail there has to be the Long Beach Ice Tea (I probably like it a little too much). Their Original Dirty Burger is the dirtiest most delicious thing you could ever eat.
Bloo88, on West Street, is another favourite. Their pizzas are incredible, the New Yorker is my favourite. But, there's more to this place than pizzas, if you love drinking out of jars this is the place for you. As well as doing 2-4-1 on pizzas they also do special offers on their yummy cocktails. The bar staff are all super friendly, sometimes if you tell them what kind of drink you like they'll just make it based on that, and they'll even write your name on the drink!
