It’s no secret that confidence in appearance can improve someone's happiness and self-esteem. Hair is a huge part of anyone’s image, something we use to express our personality and style, on a daily basis. If your hair looks good; you're more likely to feel good.
We can become so attached to our own particular hairstyle; so much so that an appointment to alter our hair can be almost traumatising. Every girl knows how scary an endurance the hairdresser's chair can be. With severe trepidation, you request for "just the split ends off please". Then, leave the salon with hair resembling that of a character from Prison Break, whilst wiping away your regret filled tears, vowing to never let a stranger with scissors touch your tresses again.
If this nightmare-enducing event has happened to you (I bet it has). You are then likely to be desperately searching for the miracle cure to grow back your long, flowing locks. Or, if you simply want to improve the condition of your hair; then there could be a hair product tailored perfectly to your needs :-
“Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment, For Hair That Never Grows Past A Certain Length”
This hair treatment, created by celebrity hair stylist, Lee Stafford, contains a "Pro-Growth™ Complex". This is a protein-based formula, which claims to "fertilise your follicles, to help hair grow faster and reach its maximum potential length."
Seem far-fetched? Here's the science-y bit; Everyone's hair goes through three 'cycles'. These include - a resting stage (Telogen), a growing stage (Anagen), and an intermediate stage (Catagen). This hair growth treatment aims to prolong the growing stage, thus promoting increased hair growth.
To achieve these claims, Mr. Stafford suggests we shampoo hair as normal, then scoop an egg sized amount of the treatment over hair, massaging into the roots. Then, after leaving for 5 minutes, rinse and condition hair as normal. Seems simple enough, right?
Having abused my own hair repeatedly (bleaching, dyeing, straightening, curling, backcombing, you name it) since the age of 12, my hair is far from my best friend. In light of this, to desperately eradicate this damage, I used this product religiously for 3 months, following Lee's instructions. My hair now feels stronger, seems to fall out less, and has definitely grown more than usual.
Priced at £8.49 (eeeek), this treatment is not a particularly cheap buy. However, it's often in the 3 for 2 offer at Boots. If your hair is damaged and in desperate need of some TLC, I believe this luxuriously textured product is a worthy investment.
If you're fed up of your locks feeling lacklustre, and you want to achieve hair even Rapunzel herself would envy, you can buy the treatment here.
Love, Cat xxx
